Entergy Louisiana, LLC supplies electricity to more than 1 million customers and natural gas to more than 93,000 customers in the Baton Rouge area
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – Entergy Louisiana, LLC says power has been restored for all customers affected by Hurricane Delta.
Hurricane Delta landed near Creole, Louisiana, just 15 miles from Hurricane Laura on October 9.
The strong winds and heavy rain of the Hurricane Delta cut off around 320,000 Entergy customers.
Power was restored to 90% of Entergy’s customers within 3 days of the storm.
With a team of around 9,000 men and women, the energy has been returned to Entergy customers who can safely receive it.
“While some communities are still recovering from Hurricane Laura, the support our customers have shown to the thousands of men and women restoring power after Hurricane Delta has been truly humbling and inspiring,” said Phillip May, President and CEO of Entergy Louisiana.
Entergy urges residents to check the electrical equipment installed on their homes for damage and call an electrician to make any necessary repairs.
“I can’t say enough: we turn the lights on again after devastating hurricanes. We are. We will always be there for our communities, no matter what storm. The people of Louisiana have always been there.” For us and we are happy that we could be there for them when they needed us most, ”said Phillip May, President and CEO of Entergy Louisiana.
